Playing Curry at this point would not make any sense. Especially since we are seeing players drive to the hoop more and use more ball movement. If Curry is in the game he is either clogging up the middle, causing turnovers, or his teammates are causing turnovers trying to get him the ball. If Curry is waiting for the “We want Eddy” chants to start it’s not going to happen. He would have a better chance finding the lost city of Atlantis. Let me say that I am pleased that Curry is in shape and wants to get back on the court. The problem is that he’s already missed the boat. Knick fans and the Knicks’ organization have been waiting years for Curry to get in shape. We all know that Curry has gone through horrible situations off the court that average person would not be able to handle. The stress alone might have contributed to his weight issues. That being said, the best thing Curry can do is join the bench crew and support his team. If Nate Robinson, who has been in shape every year he’s been in the NBA, is not getting playing time then Eddy Curry should not get playing time either. What may be going through Eddy’s head is, “How is Bender getting playing time and I’m not?” I will tell you reason. Bender can be effective in 10 minutes. Bender can come into a game and knock down quick three point shots as well as block some shots. With Eddy Curry, He needs a good 20 minutes a game to make an impact. I would love to see Eddy play because the results can raise his trade value. Not only that, but Eddy can show that players can overcome tough obstacles in this their lives. However, now is not the time. If the Knicks start losing again then Eddy you may have a case. Right now just sit back and enjoy the show. Here are some comments by Eddy Curry from the Post: "It's frustrating, because I worked so hard to get back and to be ready to go and now it's just like go every game trying to figure out if I'm going to play or not, sitting over there waiting to see what's going to happen," Curry said. "It's tough to deal with, especially at this stage of my career, at this age. I ain't that old, but I've been here for a while."-New York Post
