Lebron Has 99 Problems and Jay-z Is Not One Of Them

(Big C) According to several news outlets, it looks like the latest person to express his disappointment with Lebron James is Jay-z. Supposedly Jay-z, rapper and minority owner of the Nets (and friend of Lebron James), is mad at Lebron because Lebron did not let him in the decision to join the Heat. Guess what Jay-z? Pick a number. You are not the only person.

At this point you have to wonder why Jay-z would be surprised. After all why would Lebron consult Jay-z about a life decision concerning basketball? Jay-z may be one of the best in the rap game but he knows little about basketball.

Lebron is an expert and Jay-z is just a spectator. That’s like me asking my plumber a health related question instead of consulting with a doctor. Not to mention Jay-z, is looking out for himself and his business venture with the Nets.

Lebron did what he had to do for Lebron. Would Jay-z ask Lebron who he should sign next to his record label? I hope not. Jay-z should be more concerned that no free agents are even thinking about joining the Nets. Carlos Boozer and his agent both failed to return a phone call to the Nets asking about their interest in joining their team.

I don’t know if Jayz or the Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov thought that little billboard would be enough to lure free agents. Lebron may have 99 problems but Jay-z is not one of them.

As far as Jay-z goes, he will now have a total of 101 problems. One of which is the Nets new owner who wants to brag about money rather than spend it. Plus another one, that hideous billard on 34^th street and 8^th avenue which reads “The Blue Print For Greatness”. It will instead be remembered for the summer where the Nets laid out the “Blueprint for being ignored”.
