The New Knicks: Leadership, Chemistry, and No Soap Operas PDF Print E-mail
Written by BigC

(Big C) For the first time in a long time the Knicks will have a team that will have chemistry on the court and off. No more of the madness in the locker room and a team divided. No more of the soap opera stories.

This year I expect headlines to hopefully be about the production of the team (except when the Knicks play Melo or Paul).

This upcoming season the Knicks will have a good collection of players that will lead to a winning team. In recent years it was always a big question mark as to who the Knicks leader was. In the past the Knicks had players that had the ability to lead but lacked the skill needed to get others players to follow (e.g. Mailk Rose). Or vice versa, the Knicks had a skilled players ( e.g.Marbury, Al Harrington) but they lacked leadership qualities.

No more of Knicks players in the past fighting each other in the locker room. Or even a player trying to call his teammates out to only to fail himself when push came to shove (Chris Duhon). No more of a coaches vs players like Nate Robinson and Mike D’Antoni. Or Isiah and Marbury. Or players going head-to-head over gambling bets.

This year the Knicks have Amar’e Stoudemire and Raymond Felton to lead the way. Both players are not just talented, but they are players that their teammates will respect and follow. Most importantly both players are winners.

If there are no major injuries there should be no reason for the Knicks not to win. The Knicks have talent, leadership, and a good group of guys. Now all the Knicks and Mike D’Antoni need is good execution for big results.
