Who needs these guys? That’s the question. The Rockets and 76ers better think of a way to get rid of these two players that are now becoming dead weight. The playoffs are now coming and there are two teams that I feel are doing good without their so-called superstars and that is the Houston Rockets and the 76ers.  Elton Brand and T-Mac were supposed to  bring their teams to the next level. Tracey McGrady is probably the biggest disappointment out of the two.  Every year McGrady seems to get injured causing his team to not reach the ultimate goal which is getting a title.

However, not this year. This year the Houston Rockets are playing great basketball without T-Mac. Last year the Rockets would be lost if T-Mac was not playing. Either they would miss the playoffs or get bumped in the first round. The difference this year is the addition of Ron Artest who is playing great team ball. Not only is he getting it done on the defensive end but when the Rockets need him to score he can deliver the offensive punch. The Rockets are also playing great team ball and are really developing good chemistry. McGrady being out for the remainder of the season has turned out to be a good thing. Especially since T-Mac decided to get major surgery in the middle of the season and leaving his teammates and coach out to dry by not informing them of his plans. If the playoffs were held today the Rockets would be the 4th seed. Not bad for a team that was supposed to miss the  playoffs when T-Mac got injured.

The next player that needs to stay home is Elton Brand. Earlier in the season the Sixers were playing like hot trash. When Elton Brand was in the lineup there little to no ball movement. At the beginning of the season the Sixers looked like they would be one of the worst teams and could look forward to getting a good draft pick at the close of the season. However since Brand was sidelined the Sixers have not only been winning games but they look like they could enter the playoffs as the 5th seed. Elton Brand might be a 20 and 10 guy but for all his double doubles it has not resulted in wins.

So my message  to T-mac and Elton Brand is to stay home because your teams are doing better without you.
